Cosmetic Bonding is used in limited ways to make
minor cosmetic modifications or repairs on teeth.

Cosmetic Bonding

Cosmetic bonding is the use of tooth-colored composite resin for filling, repairing, or making aesthetic improvements to a tooth.

Bonding can be used to reduce spaces between teeth, lengthen small teeth, or repair a tooth that’s worn or chipped.

The bonding technique can also be used for small fillings.  White or tooth-colored fillings have been a preferred method of filling teeth for decades.

For minor cosmetic modifications and repairs, bonding resins are extremely strong and wear-resistant.  Done correctly, dental bonding is an excellent, highly aesthetic, and long lasting result for repairing, restoring or enhancing a tooth.

The procedure is “technique-sensitive,” which means the procedure has to be performed precisely and without error. Because Dr. Foutz is a skilled perfectionist, he performs this procedure with the fine detail needed to ensure success.

At Dr. Barton H. Foutz, DDS, we pride ourselves on staying up-to-date on all the leading-edge technologies and advancements, including the best bonding principles.  When you come in for your consultation, we will discuss the pros and cons of using cosmetic bonding for your specific situation.
